Angelus leather paint application
Angelus leather paint application is much easier than you might think. It is a matter of making sure you have a good preparer, by using the Angelus Preparer and Deglazer, for example. By doing this step by step, you will quickly achieve beautiful results.
- First, make sure the leather is thoroughly pre-treated, for example with Angelus’ Preparer and Deglazer
- Apply the first coat of paint in a thin, even layer. Do not forget to include seams and cracks when doing this.
- Apply the new layer as soon as the first layer is dry. Be sure to apply thin layers for the best results. It takes an average of 10 to 15 minutes for each coat to dry before you can apply the next one. Apply multiple coats until the desired result is achieved. Usually, this is the case after three to four coats.
- Allow the last applied coat of paint to dry for at least 24 hours before using the painted product.
Using Angelus leather paint
Using Angelus black leather paint is a great choice for your leather items. The painted surface is easy to clean, and as the paint is water-based, it is also splash-proof. This gives the leather great protection, even in bad weather conditions. You can also order this paint in different-sized bottles: a small 29.5 ml jar and a larger 118 ml version.
How much Angelus leather paint do I need?
- A small 29.5 ml jar contains enough paint for a pair of leather shoes.
- With the large 118 ml version, you can paint a car seat or dining room chair made of leather.
- For a large two-seat sofa, use 6 jars of 118 ml each of leather paint as a rule.
- The amount of Preparer and Deglazer and finisher needed usually is half the amount of paint used.
