While classic Novonappa features a smooth, flat finish, the Foulonné variation undergoes a specialized dry-milling (tumbling) process. This traditional mechanical treatment naturally relaxes the fibers, revealing a subtle, elegant pebbled grain across the surface while giving the hide an exceptionally soft, supple hand feel with a delicate drape.
